The Breaking News: Setting up an orientation of the Featured Image in archive views

It is possible to change the way your featured images are shown in archive views. They can have either vertical or horizontal aspect. By default, the Featured Image comes with a Portrait (vertical) orientation in archive view. You can change it in the Theme Options:

  1. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options.
  2. In the Theme Options, go to Archive View Options.
  3. Under the Featured Image label, select an orientation of your image.
  4. Click Publish to save the settings.
